Mental illness, self-defeating behaviors, automatic unhelpful reactions and other ailments which challenge our psychological wellness bind us in ways in which we can lose our independence, freedom, confidence and drive. Taking the first step towards improving your way of living can be the most difficult and challenging step. What will the first session be like? What will the counselor ask me? I've dealt with this all my life, is there really any hope to overcoming it?

Whatever reason brings you to searching for help via counseling, know that YOU ARE NOT ALONE... This is a safe place to speak freely, find answers and collect resources. Individual counseling can be beneficial for you by:

  • overcoming distress caused by mental illness (e.g. depression, PTSD, anxiety, etc.); 
  • learning how to verbally express emotions and thoughts; 
  • finding support and coping skills or additional ways of living; 
  • exploring hidden aspects about yourself (e.g. redefining purpose);
  • overcoming grief; and many other reasons.
